Veterans On the Board

No, when a rod started knocking, I was on I-16 in middle Georgia, which back then at least was almost deserted. I was only 25 miles from home. I had left Charleston driving 30 mph, but that got boring real quick, so I kept speeding up. At the end, I was doing 60-65 in second gear. No cell phones then, and I was in the middle of nowhere, so I got off the interstate and headed for the nearest town. Knock got louder and louder, then BOOM, rod went out the side of the block. End of 273.
Funny. I know lonely ole I16 also. Hunted in Swainsboro for years. Small world.
