So I noticed my engine mounts were starting to crack and split (biscuit mounts) so I went to replace them and when I set the engine back down the mounts did what they were doing before, (top metal plate and bottom metal plate of mount are shifting away from each other causing what appears to be an unwanted bind on the rubber, almost looks like the engine is dropping too far) is this normal for these mounts or is something wrong? The slotted holes in the k member wont allow the mounts to shift down and correct this issue. I scribbled what is going on, maybe it will make sense? Any input will be much appreciated!

Okay, here are some pictures of what's going on. I have a picture of an old mount, the bump is installed to the top on the engine side.

Yes the biscuit mounts sag a bit, its normal. Its worse with the aftermarket mounts that are available now because the rubber is not the correct spec. Wont last nearly as long either.

yeah, that's why I replaced the old ones, rubber was peeling from the metal. Didn't have any hours on the engine! These new ones are trans-abapt brand and claim to be heavy duty mounts. Just looks stupid sagging like it does....
