Hey guys I’m new to the forum and I’m having no luck at the moment with my Holley 1920. Long story short my grandfather has always kept my dads first truck. It is a 1979 d100 with the slant 6. I bought the truck about 6 months ago and started to tinker with it. It has sat for about 20 years. So I went ahead and pulled the carb and ordered a rebuild kit. I rebuilt the carb and as I was reassembling the little plastic lever broke on the economizer body. I have searched online everywhere to see what it is called or if it’s possible to get one. If anyone could point me in the right direction to get one it would be greatly appreciated! Or is there a carburetor that’s of great value that’s pretty good?

The engine is not the original one. I believe a marine application?? The picture below is just a pic I found online to show what I was looking for and a pic of the truck and engine. Thanks!

@Thomas Shirley there are a lot of more qualified people here on FABO that may have better information but before I started a rebuild on my Holley 1945 I tracked down a "parts only" carb on eBay that was inexpensive just for the reason you described... me accidentally breaking something! So that may be something to look into... but like I said, I'm sure someone else will have a better lead.

yeah I thought about that. But the ones I see on eBay that are cores/junk they are wanting a good bit for one. But I’ll keep my eye out

Thomas, If you are interested, a friend of mine was cleaning out his garage and ran across single bbl 1920. I know he has no use for it, he hasn’t owned a Slant6 car for a long time. It’s in a box so I’m not sure if it’s rebuilt or new. I could get contact info for you if interested not sure what he would want. Thanks, Al

@Thomas Shirley yeah hear ya... I lucked out and got one for $10 and all that was missing was the main jet... it did take about a week of looking everyday to come across it... hopefully someone else will chime in with some info... good luck!

Appreciate you getting back with me. Glad to hear you found what you were looking for. I know my friend would love to see it go to a good home. If another enthusiasts should see my reply they are welcome to contact info. Thanks, Al

Sorry, your absolutely right, am I bad. Am thinking at this point that maybe his carb could help somebody that needs one. He asked me if I could use it and really I don’t have a need. But I’m sure he’d love to see it go, Just saying.
Thanks, Al

sorry for the late reply! But yes I would love to snag it off him!

Thomas, Hi, yes thanks for the reply. I will let him know of your interest. He owned a ‘65 Dart GT w/ Slant6 at one time. He asked me about the carb and he also has a new constant charge voltage regulator ‘62-‘69 Mopar product. I can’t use that either. By the way your location is Blackstock, where is that? Thanks, Al

Thomas Shirley, I believe I will need some contact info for him so that you guys can make arrangements. I know he is not a member of “for a-bodies only” maybe since I am we could work through me. Thanks, Al
