It's longer than an A body 4 speed. The shifter mount is farther forward than A body units, and you will have interference with the trans crossmember. Guys that have run them as is had to fab shifter relocation brackets, and sometimes linkage. Most that want to run a hemi box swap to the A body tailshaft housing and output shaft to get things lined up. Brewer's or Passon can help you out with the particulars, as well as your clutch linkage needs. Also be aware that the necessary 10.5" bellhousing is a tight fit in an early A (unlike later As) and may require some tunnel mods, at a bare minimum some massaging at the firewall/floorpan seam.
