18 spline A833

Im foound an 18 spline A833 locally, its out of a Charger with a hemi. As far as i know the input bearing and retainer are different than the 23 spline units, as well as input shadt diameter, output shaft spline count, and internal differences i dont care about as it pertains to my next question.

Which is: what all do i need to put this behind a 360? Can I machine a 23 spline bell housing out to 4.8 and use an aftermarket clutch/pilot bearing? What clutch fork and Z bar will i need for an A body? ('66 dart)... im expecting to have a sriveshaft made, and i will have to find shifter/linkage... am i missing any other external differences that will bite me in the *** (and wallet) while bolting this thing up and dropping it in?

What trans are you running now? It is easier to swap everything into A body housings. Just use a 307 front bearing main housing and a 30 spline output housing. The Bell housing is not a problem, I had a 71 340 bell housing and trans in my 64 Barracuda. Have to agree with Toolmanmaike, unless you are making over 500 ft lb of torque, sell the Hemi Box and get a good A Body 833. Brewers Performance has all the stuff to hook up a later bell housing to an Early A.
