I I purchased a stand alone system from Swap spealties, a big mistake. It doesn't work I have replaced most all sensors. I have 55-60 psi of fuel pressure.while trying to start I have power to my coils and injectors . I removed the spark plugs from#1 to see if it was firing and the engine started and sat and idled and started to smooth itself out. When I replaced the plugs it will not start just spin over.we thought that maybe the engine wasn't spinning fast enough to work the crank sensor. I replaced the crank sensor and made sure the battery was hot and jumped a hot battery with it no change.
I bought a Mopar wiring thumb drive and traced the wiring #1&5 on the throttle body was crossed and a wire. From the pedal had a break between the pedal and c2).
I'm in search of and exorcist or devine intervention.
I was told yesterday that it will not start unless I program the pedal.
How do I program the pedal?
It's a 2012 5.7 out of a charger with a 2008 545rfe out of a ram 1500

Any help is appreciated
Thanks Ken

You will need a scan tool capable of performing that function (Autell, Snap On, OTC, or factory, NOT a code reader). Depending on the brand of scan tool it will be under ; "additional procedures", "miscellaneous functions ", or "system tests". From there you want to finde "learn ETC" (electronic throttle control) or "learn APP" (accelerator pedal position). It will tell you what to click and when to hold and release the pedal. If there is a wiring problem then it will stop you with an error message.

I would like to help you but you don't need much more information.
I imagine you took the whole set apart to get into your car.
I do not understand, the engine started with a correct idle?

Ken. Did you get the issues cleared up? I'm about to have to buy a stand alone and you stated that Swap Specialties was a "big mistake". Are they junk?

Might do a search on here for "Swap Specialties". There is another thread here where the guy basically got no support after paying. There is also a post in that thread from a different forum where a guy bought a harness from Swap Specialties and had to buy some extra module to get his project running.

So far, every time I run across someone posting about Swap Specialties, it seems to be followed with "and I can't get it to start".

Hmmm... OK. I already have either the "no start" or the "no transmission" issues. It seems like Hot Wire and Mega Squirt get the most praises. I'll be doing some phone time with them tomorrow. Thanks for the quick input (I wasn't expecting that :) ).

I just got a guy to bring his snap-on system over and we see no voltage on senor 2 I will trace the wires tomorrow and find it it a should be .45 to 4.5. I have found 2 wires in the wrong pin a wire not crimped and a wire that don't conduct. I may see light, my guy in Florida has done 2 already with harness from mopar with no problems, he even did paddle shifters that is the way to go
Thanks Ken

Buy the mopar set up my friend swears by them

Bouchillon Performance in Hanahan, SC is also a good place to purchase Gen III swap stuff. I was all excited to buy a harness from Swap Specialties, and drug my feet long enough that I found out how sorry they are before doing so! Hope you get it fixed soon.

The system does not work i have spent tons of hours and 1,150 dollars with different people who are supposed to be good at this .Im going to pay the money and get mopar system where at least I will have tech support.
Swap Specialties was not honest with me and didn't do what they promised

Get you a 2005 ECM for $75 at junkyard (truck) and a harness from Hotwire and $1200 and be done with it. If you can’t find an ECM near you let me know I have bought several down here and sent them to people. Hotwire has great tech support.

I feel bad for you that things went this way but I am glad you responded, possibility saving someone else a headache in the future.

Just seeing this thread now as I’m finally getting some time to think about my swap again. I’m the guy from the other thread that was referenced in one of the other responses. DO NOT buy from swap specialties!! They really need to go out of business so that they can stop ripping people off. You do not take my word...look them up on the BBB. Hope I’m not too late!
