Stop in for a cup of coffee

Had a nice dinner at buddy’s place. 50 mile drive. Going past a wally mart, wife wants to pick up a few things.
Shampoo aisle. Wife walks into aisle and i wait at the end, keeping my distance. Some other woman, wearing a mask,grabs hair spray and sprays her hair! Wtf?
Next thing grabs hand lotion, opens it, pulls mask diwn and smells it! Three different bottles.
What in the actual frick??
Wearing a mask and pulls this ****? I really wanted out right then and there.

Dang, I just went through 189 pages of wix air filter measurements.

Seems the absolute lowest height I can get for my air cleaner is 2 " which will work perfect

The filter element I have now is the same as the 70 340 air cleaner and is 2 13/16"

That's a huge difference and will for sure clear the hood.
 
So my k frame lowering block made quite a stir,

....a disturbance in the force, it made....

I'm going to make some solid steel motor mounts that will lower the engine 1/2 inch and then i'm going to rotate the engine so the carb side comes down a 1/2 inch and then I'm going to save 13/16 of an inch with a lower air filter.

Together is almost 2 inches, if the hood don't clear that, then I might lower the k frame but I doubt it will get that far and clear the hood without lowering the k frame

If you rotate the engine, will the carb be tilted? How will it work right if not level (floats)

And, yeh... I saw the lowering discussion. It does mess with a lot of angles. Some might not matter, but certainly a bit more complex than just a couple spacers.

It is in fact Friday!
Fargo chassis gets a splash of paint, as well as cab floor. Then i can put cab back on frame.

I see a breather that should be taken off the market, never use these.

yeah, its a HUGE power robber. something like 40-50 hp LOST over even a stock mopar snorkle intake
 
I have seen a carb back fire and it started back up and suck chunks of that foam material in the engine, it was a Ford so I giggled a little bit to my self
 
Chris look at drop air cleaner bases? I actually found a K&N type that fit for me filter on top and sides.
