Stop in for a cup of coffee

I have seen a carb back fire and it started back up and suck chunks of that foam material in the engine, it was a Ford so I giggled a little bit to my self
That thing just fueled the fire I had, actually when it got sucked in the carb it melted the primary venturies. They are a safety hazard if you ask me.

Chris look at drop air cleaner bases? I actually found a K&N type that fit for me filter on top and sides.
Princess is the one looking, I've got the one I think I got it from you a few years ago. Drop bases kill power too, but if you add a K&N lid, it brings the power back up.

poly had what was left of one, looked like it had been thru a fire too

What I have now should work well with the plenum from the scoops.

Took the Pop for a ride the other day. I definitely have to make the fuel pressure higher, set at five now and definitely will not keep up with the floats when I hit it! Going to try 7 and see what happens.

Watch for fuel overflow. Edelbrock or Holley. Holley's can stand a pound or 2 extra. Edelbrocks like 5 or less.

I have the eddy. Yes very aware of that. I might have to get bigger needle and seats, used the largest I have in the strip kit. Easy to boost the pressure I have a adjustable regulator. I noticed when I nailed it my gauge inside dropped to 3/4. That one is right at the carb. Idle it is a steady 5. Still have bugs to work out.

Second cup done. Think i need to pull the 3 speed/floor shift out of the parts truck today. Slam it in before i get cab on. I need floor shift.

So my k frame lowering block made quite a stir,

....a disturbance in the force, it made....

I'm going to make some solid steel motor mounts that will lower the engine 1/2 inch and then i'm going to rotate the engine so the carb side comes down a 1/2 inch and then I'm going to save 13/16 of an inch with a lower air filter.

Together is almost 2 inches, if the hood don't clear that, then I might lower the k frame but I doubt it will get that far and clear the hood without lowering the k frame

Just cut a hole in the hood for the air cleaner to go through and cover it with a cool hood scoop... Then you don't have to make all of those modifications...

Let me leave with a front end Friday picture I almost shared in that thread
Now everyone remember to enjoy this day and drive everyone krazy with a smile on your face, just to make them wonder
