Things that get us out of the house and away from everyone

We hunted pheasant for food in SD. My girls would not even eat chicken. Had pet quail as a kid, so could not hunt them. Probably too many predators for ground nesting birds to survive anymore. People think every animal is a person and should not be killed. We are loosing some of my favorite animals forever to them.

Out fishing yesterday, they didn't like the sound of me casting my line.
Hot day but I put more fresh fish in the freezer

My grandson loves to fish. Just snagged this two days ago on a lake in NJ

Wow, looks like a bass? I think you call them stripers?
I'm not a sportsman so what I know about fish you could put in a thimble. When I'm in NJ I just hang out with him while he fishes. My daughter sends me pics. They have lake competition by age groups. Here's yesterdays

When I was a kid in the early 60's we used to live in Greenville, SC and we would go to Greenwood Lake back when they had a huge slide on the water, some cabins and a hall with juke box and you could rent small outboards. Not sure if any of that still exists.

Not sure if it still exists, but yes, that is Lake Greenwood. Still feels like the 60's around here sometimes. I thought it would be good to post water stuff in August to help keep us cool.

That is sweet! I wonder where that is. The lake is about 20 miles long.
Not sure, my dad was stationed in SC and every year until we had to move we'd go there. Lay on your stomach and skim across the water!! Total blast for a kid of 9.
