Good evening all,
Looking to replace my fuel tank and have narrowed my choice on E Bay to two. One is made in Canada of automotive grade steel, but has a non original cross tank indentation, while the other is made in Taiwan of "correct plated steel" of new tooling that has the correct indentations.
I'm interested in what you think or recommended. I don't care so much about the correctness as the construction and materials.

My only concern would be the thickness of the steel and the rust proofing.

Not they are any better but classic sells tanks about the same price or less and I would feel better about buying from them vs E-Bay.

What year car is it for

I put a Spectra in my car, prefer North American made, don't care if it's an exact replica, that the least important factor for me. I have used a number of Spectra products, heater cores, radiators, a/c components, and fuel tanks, no problems.

Have you thought about a stainless steel tank, no worries about rusting.

I cant find it on Ebay? The SS one. Anyone have a link i tried the item number no luck??:(

The Spectra tanks are very high quality. They come electro coated on the inside so there's no need to coat them. Damned if I'd buy one from Taiwan.

Give a good hard thought about your fuel delivery
If there is an electric pump in your future, buy a tank with a pump in it

I purchased my new tank from Tanks Inc. Identical to OEM tank, including turn ups to clear exhaust pipes.

Thanks for all the recommendations guys, I ordered the Spectra Tank from Tamraz's on E-bay, a seller I have had several good transactions with. I checked the specs with that of all recommendations and aside from the more expensive stainless ones, it should fit the bill. Of note, every tank I checked, except one,
carried the number or variation of CR11C. While the prices and manufacturers and described material differed.
Now to pull the old one. Is it possible to remove and replace the tank while leaving the fill neck in place on a 69 fast back Cuda or easier to install the neck after tank is in?
Thanks again for all the input!

I used this product on my nw tank. One quart did the trick. Alcohol Resistant Gas Tank Sealer | Car Fuel Tank Sealer - hirschauto.com

After spending $$ for a new tank I thought it was cheap insurance to keep the inside lasting longer. I use ethanol free 91 but no corrosion from moisture in the tank. It's been four years with no issues, good product.

I hadn't really thought about sealing a new tank. Is that an important step if using gas with ethanol?

Take a look at the product FAQ. It talks about new tanks and not needing a sealer, also mentions specifically that new tanks likely already have a coating and that factory coating would need to be removed first.

You are correct, Tanks Inc. (mine) was raw steel and needed sealer if I wanted to protect it.
