Hello, I am getting to the nitty gritty with my 67 Dart Gt convertible restomod. I went with custom bucket seats and I would like to convert over to a 3 point seat belt system that has the shoulder strap. Has anyone done this? if so tell me about your process for making it work.

There was a factory diagram/picture floating around here a while back, but I can't find it now... if memory serves me, they anchored on the rear side panels.
On mine, I used Sebring buckets with integrated shoulder belts.

Heres a pic and an old link with some discussion:
67 Dart shoulder harness anchor?
(Thanks to 67Dart273)

Not a lot of fun for the back passengers...

LOLOL I just bought a vintage 67 Chrysler parts book, with the accessories cataloge in, and THAT IS IN THERE!!! It's also documented at the Hamtramck registry, which is where I got it originally for that discussion

For what is't worth, here is what I did with my 69 Convertible. I used Cadillac CTS seats with the integral shoulder harness.

I just picked up some Chrysler Sebring seats with the shoulder harness. Working on mounting brackets now.
Also got the rear seat from the same car, they are the same width as the seat in my '64 Valiant. I'll adapt them to the stock frame.
I'll start a thread with pics as I get further along.

Sebring seats with built in shoulder harness. Perfect!

I started working on mounting these seats, but noticed right off that the while driver seatbelt works fine, the passenger belt was locked, it would retract, but not pull out.
What I thought was a seat belt buzzer/warning turns out to be a solonoid connected to the airbag controller module. Apparently it's supposed to lock if the airbag is deployed.
Applied 12V to the wires and it released the belt. The belt will lock tight if pulled quickly, like your torso going forward, so still fully functional.
I'll wire it to an accessory hot lead with it's own fuse. If that fails I'll break into the housing and manually disengage the solonoid.
