Differences in Formula S Emblems

This got me from earlier today. I knew there was a difference in the S Side Emblem and a 69 Rear Trim Panel. There was a sale post but I didn't want to post on the sale thread.
But I didn't know there are curved 65 emblems with vertical mount pins and then there is a flatter emblem 66-68? It has horizontal mount pins.
First I have heard about this.
Am I saying this correct? 65 Emblem and then 66-68 side Emblems?

You know i purchased the one from Kern Dog and I'm not sure about the answer but when i receive it I'll see if it's curved because where it mounts on the fender by the Headlight its curved from top to bottom.
As a side note, the barracuda i have, has a passenger side fender replacement and i believe the drivers side original to the car? I looked at a picture of the mounting holes, (it's in storage) and it has a vertical and a horizontal set of holes. Go figure. I know the 65 V8 emblem for the barracuda and valiant are horizontal so i would think that is what I'm looking for. Maybe we can get someone to enlighten us.
