Can I have a \6 radiator for less than $750?
put it back under the hood and go.
Stock slantys with a direct drive fan hardly need a rad at all. In winter I used to completely block mine off for cabin heat. Some winters I even took the fan right off.
But in spring, I did have to pull the cardboard out.and by summer the 4-blade fan was back on.
My rad is circa 1980.
I had it rodded out in about 94.
Now, I just pinch the old tubes off and solder them up as needed. The top tank has several patches on it. I think slantys might be able to run air cooled for 8 or more months of the year; I mean with coolant in the jackets; at least mine might, lol.
I agree that's a lotta coin for a stinking rad.
But I get the Nevada reference, lol. I'd probably rent a car.
