Stop in for a cup of coffee

That sucks. $1K for a drippy faucet....:BangHead:
Did you add a shutoff valve? I would have done that while waiting for plumber... But other than heater maintenance service, I only recall a plumber here once in 27 years. Had a prob with the water to heater while I was at work and told wife to call one. Glad he got it done, but replaced some copper with PVC. No other PVC water lines in my house...:wtf:
Sell the cartridge on ebay

No, I didn't add a shut off valve... I thought I could just replace the cartridge until the plumber came and tried to get the last seal out and broke the tool and the seal, and the seal was still stuck in the housing... Then we had to break into the wall and install a whole new fixture...

No, we didn't put shut off valves in... They would have to make a larger hole (That's what she said... :D)...

Plus the old check valves were so calcium deposited, they were stuck... If we put shut off valves in, they would just freeze up in time like the check valves did with the lack of use for so long...
