Hello Gentlemen,

After taking a quick look at several parts suppliers I am amazed at how many offering there are for a B/RB electric water pumps. The CVR kind of caught my eye since it pumps 55 gph at 6.1 amps. That is a much low amperage draw than all the 35 gph pumps I looked at.

Obviously a low current draw is advantageous if your drag racing, but I am not sure just how much flow you really need or what the best all round pump made is. So I figured I would ask the experts that have first hand knowledge for their recommendations.

Thanks,
Tom

The more flow the better. Just like a mechanical water pump.

I will mention that at that GPH and amp draw that’s pretty impressive if true.

The CVR pump housing is the best one of the stock style housings.

I have been running the Meziere standard pump for a few years in a stock housing.
Electric Pump Mopar, insert style

I did it so I could run a bigger CFM electric fan. I think it gave me 3/4" extra clearance vs the stock style pump with a pulley bolted to it. I would be interested in the size of the CVR Pump if someone has one. Gasket surface to end of the unit.
