A friend of mine back when I was in Navy was taking his fishing boat under this bridge, heard a splash, circled back and plucked a guy out of the water. Lots of broken bones, guy had left a suicide note on the bicycle he rode to the pass, couldn't even kill himself right! Guy was take back to Cornet Bay Marina, very close, he lived.
