I'm absolutely loving the hot days. I have made more progress on the valiant in the last two weeks of consistent 100 degrees, than i have some whole winters.

Its sad we only get a few months a year of really hot days. I function the best in the heat and I have a ton of energy. I love summer so much.

When you can power wash an engine and a half hour later it's bone dry is a good day. Paints, glues, body fillers and everything works better in the heat.

Cars start easier and get to temperature really fast....I love it, I love it all

Hope you all are having decent summers considering all the bad stuff going on around us.

The heat kicks my *** now. I am really glad you're gettin it done though. I work out in the shop at night. I have one of those indoor room air conditioners and it does a really good job of cooling the whole shop. Of course, during the day it doesn't have a chance. I'm getting a lot done to mine as well. Got the new radio in and now I am working on the instrument cluster. I blasted and painted a cluster housing. While I wish it looked more chrome, it's kinda greyish.....it does look really good. MUCH better than the old faded one. It will look good with the new radio.

Would it help to hose yourself down during the day and work damp and when you dry off, repeat the process. Really helps if you have a breeze.

I have never been a fan of radios in cars whether factory or non, but I have to say you made the new radio look right at home in there. You did a good job trimming the frame and not hacking.

Hope you enjoy your tunes, I bet one of my favorites would sound great on that

That song was fun to try to play on the Game guitar hero. My friend had that game and I had to try that song so many times to try to keep up, it's a blast. I'm not a video gamer at all but that was one time I played a video game and had fun.

Go grab a real guitar. It's not a hard song to play.

My last house had a pool. It was great to work on the cars and then jump in the pool for a quickie cool-off.
Here now, I have a bigger place and a shop.....but no pool.
I sweat and drip when it gets hot. Forearms and calves with streams of sweat....OOOf.
Being in construction, I'm used to it. It has been a problem when painting cars though. Sweat on wet paint is trouble!

That works if ur in a dry climate , but not these parts , and I imagine Georgia isn`t any better , work out side here and ur soaked in 20-3- miniutes anyway .,

Send some rain over here, it's been drier than a armadillos shell in the hot sand.

We are on fire restrictions here with a few exceptions. So i had my backyard camp fire in a barrel

It's always dry here, Prarie desert all around and even going up the mountains is dry dry. A lot of tourists would never guess how dehydrated you get hiking and how dry and brutal a mountain side can be with altitude, thin dry air, and extreme sunburn conditions

We get one of those I call it "redneck sack pools" every year. 8' in diameter, 30" high blue vinyl pool with the blow up blue ring around the top. We get a canopy to cover it so it doesn't become bath water. lol Comes with filter pump and all.....less than 100 bucks for both every year. It really makes a difference when we've been out cuttin grass and workin in the yard.

COOL , I always have brush pile and a stainlees steel dryer drum for smaller limbs --------------nice to have a cold one and burn it at night occasionally , but too dam hot most of the time with the humidity , will save it for fall weather .
I got my orig form S front end out and up on a table that I put wheels on today , by that time (about 2) , I was ready to quit for the day and hit the gator aid ---------I was out in the hi desert for 4 yrs., 118 3 times , no sweat , it dries before u get wet !

It is funny to see the dogs stand in the path of the sprinkler and just soak it in.

This one likes the kiddie pool!

I like in the fall when the temp drops to 60° and the cars run better... The cooler denser air makes more power... You can feel it in the seat of your pants...

Hope you have a great summer as well. It sounds good on your end! It takes a while for me to get used to some heat. When the humidity rises high, working in 80* heat produces a mad amount of sweat that leaves me dripping. Being covered in grease just makes it worse.

The weather extremes are hard to deal with. Fixing the equipment at work during the dead of winter and having a tool stick to your hand is very annoying. The cold bites and the hands just plane hurt. I think the worst night I had was a heavy repair around 3:00am with a temp that was in the area of -20* & 40 mph winds on average. I’d rather a plane old blizzard w/white out conditions.

On the flip side in the heat, here in NYC, temps at 95 plus is considered a heat wave. The addition of the high humidity is a true killer of folks. I was out doing some inspections just roasting in the heat. It made me dizzy. The lack of sleep and eats didn’t do me any favors. The A/C drain was dumping water like a faucet left on and I stuck m head under it for a good 40 minutes NOT being ABLE to leave.

It has been extra hot here, like 95 degrees with 80% humidity, it is nasty sticky hot.
I am not doing any car stuff, until it cools down, and I can set the temperature in the garage with the heater.

I did mow grass last night, I was done, super hot even on a riding mower.

Tonight I need to fix the kitchen faucet in our camper, it must have froze last year and broke, not able to use any water while camping last weekend sucked.
Momma not happy, so that is on the must fix list since we are going camping again in a few weeks.

Isn't Rani a bass player?

Been 92 in the am and 95 in the pm with between 80 and 90% humidity.

I've always said I'd rather it be 100 than 10 but-

The humidity saps the will from your soul.

No doubt, the humidity here in the mountains is horrible this year, walk outside now at 11:00 am and your shirt will be soaked in less than a 60 seconds.
