1971 duster pistol grip

The only cars that should have pistol grips shifters, bumblebee stripes, and Go-Wings are the ones that left the factory with them, and can be verified with at least three forms of written proof that is to be kept in the vehicle at all times. Anyone caught owning or driving a car with any of these three devices without proper verification should be thrashed mercilessly.

Ridiculous... Whoever pays their hard-earned money for a car should do whatever the heck they want with it...

I've had the pistol grip in my Duster but prefer it less than the ball shifter... I just took the vertigate out and looked at the pistol grip and thought nah I'll put the ball back in....

I think we all agree with that Jpar but the issue here is (*I Think*) the OP has a guy saying it came that way and may or may not being selling I as made that way but certainly tried to provide proof that it indeed fake that way from the factory. And that’s where the problem lies....

Bwaa-hahaha

Who made you the authority?

RestoRick has a nice a-body pistol grip shifter option. A bit pricey, but well done.

First, I want to be clear- this is not an issue of legality or the Constitution. No one is questioning a person's right to do what they want with their car. You have the right! I have rights, too.

I have the right to gain 300lbs. and purchase a pink Speedo, and wear nothing but the Speedo in public with no bikini waxing. That is my right!

The question is not one of rights. It's one of choices. That's right - why in God's name would I choose to do such a thing? I wouldn't, and I don't.

The pistol grip shifter. The bumblebee stripe. The Go-Wing. All of these have become so over-used and treadworn, they no longer can be applied...no matter how cool they are, were (or weren't).

If I see one more ratty '72 Scamp with a bumblebee applied at a crazy angle, I'm gonna puke. If I see one more Go-Wing on a B-Body, I'm gonna go nuts....especially when the Go-Wing is about 3" per side too narrow for a B-Body. The Mopar community must overcome. I have a dream!

OH! So your for what’s correct on a car.
Bad news buddy, people will modify there car as they see fit be it right or wrong. It’s not your Hwy. we are driving on. Don’t be a resto NAZI! There assholes that ruin the hobby. Be a resto NAZI with your NAZI friends.

What does annoy me is when people don’t know it isn’t a stock offering and insist it is.

There are alot of dare I say "younger" journalists writing automotive books and articles that aren't putting the research in. I agree, if I see one more Dart swinger 340 clone that the seller wants 20 grand and it isnt a 340..well...yeah. :)

That purple cuda is awesome - as long as your car! lol

Imagine a group of Chevy guys sitting around doing whatever it is Chevy guys do....then a Scamp, or D150, or Mirada, with a crooked bumblebee stripe goes by ....that's basically feeding the enemy.

Exactly. How can we deride the homo circle jerkers when we have bumblebee D150's?

Yeah, I see your complaint vividly, like wtf is wrong with folks putting a holley or edelbrock, tunnel rams sticking out of the hood or god forbid an efi set up on their cars? Or painting them pink or plum crazy, or putting dana's under them or 489's when they didn't come that way. Fatter tires ,you should leave your d-13's on them and take those 15x8's off. Finally, putting a big block where a small block or worse a/6 originally resided. So over done all of it !!:rofl::rofl:

You might be stretching things a bit there. This isn't an issue where taking something to extremes gains you any ground. If you're unable to differentiate between a properly done big block engine swap and a Krylon bumblebee on a Cordoba....there's no helping you.

I have a feeling they wouldn't know if it was a 6 cylinder scamp with a bumble bee stripe, they would just jump at the sight of the stripe...

Since you're the one who's going to go nuts you certainly shouldn't worry about helping me, however your opinion matters. We're here for you. Dial 1-800-PLS-JUMP

Is it hard to crap with that massive stick rammed up your bunghole? Maybe it's the amount of anal retention that makes it so difficult to get down off your high horse?

I love the '71-74 B-body non-console shifter I've got on the T56 magnum in my '74 slant-6 Duster turned '71 340 Demon clone. And if that makes your puke, well, better hang on to that bucket because I don't care. The console isn't factory either, the slant had a column shifted auto. And obviously the tuff wheel and the rallye gauges were added as well.

Sweet, I like the inlay as well.

You want to “Deride”? Or derail the circle jerk?
Kick there *** in the track.

But wait!!!!

According to you, the way I read this is ... if a vehicle is improperly displaying something it never could come with, the Chevy guys win?

OMG! Seiously, stop participating, joining and enjoying in that Chevy circle jerk.

That is one of the most retarded ***-n-9 statements I have ever read here unless your name is Bob Mills. Is your name Neil? Neil and Bob..... You are truly showing off as a dick head here.

OMG! Is he ok? How fast was he going to crush the 1/4 panel like that?
[/QUOTE]
He is OK .. Broke some ribs on the cage . The dummy didn't strap in and no helmet. I look at it as a lesson he learned and he survived. More then I can say for my friends son who was killed in my Demon.
