70 340 hp motor 11.5 compression, mech can 560 lift, ported x heads,LD 340 intake ,750 DP carb what mech pump to buy?dont want electric pump thanks

I have this one and got it here; CARTER M6270 Fuel Pump | RockAuto which still is the best price I’ve ever seen, and make sure to use a 5% discount code (just do a search for any one of a gazzilion sources) to save a little more. This is the same as the High Output 80 gph @ 7.5 psi as offered by Mopar Performance (P4007040)

All the mechanical pumps available have 1/4npt inlet/outlet except Edelbrock which has 3/8npt . Use adapters and run 1/2" fuel line .

Regardless of which mechanical pump you run, always check the fuel pressure. I have seen as much as 11 psi. out of a new replacement parts store pump. Carb's don't like more than about 5 psi.

my bottom hose comes out on drivers side, also was planing on running electric, so when motor was done, didnt put the centric back in that pump lever rides against , to pump gas ,so would have to tear front of motor apart again, and put that on,probably mess up pan gasket

also was planing on running electric

What changed your mind from yesterday afternoons original post of not wanting an electric pump? I’m confused. But yeah, plumbing in an electric would be a better bet that tearing the front of the engine off. I’m partial to the Carter 4594 electric. Noisy (although I do know when it’s running!) in my stripped tin can van but no idea how the noise would be in an A-body Plenty of good options though

i have a electric holley red now, pushes gas threw the nettle and seat, gas comes out the vent tubes. just got carb back from the carb man new nettle and seats red pump says dont need regulator may try and put one on

That is also the pump I have been using for a long time.
The 1/4 NPT can use an adapter. Search Summit under fittings. 1/4 - 3/8 or a AN 6 if your going the AN route. I used it to connect to the fuel line by Russell for the edelbrock carb.
