Early to Late Tailpipes

If you are looking for any performance increases, The key to the bending machines whether automated or not is that they are 'mandrel' design. These are VERY expensive machines and rarely found in a shop.

Here's a staggering fact: 2.5" Mandrel bent tailpipes flow 50% better than 3" compression bent pipes (which are found in 99% of exhaust shops).

So if you care about performance, you want mandrel bent pipes. You lose a little of the OEM look but you can gain 25 HP on even a stock motor. That's a very inexpensive way to gain performance.

Pypes and Torque Tech (and others) use mandrel bending. Accurate used compression bending machines. Good for originality and good quality but not nearly as efficient if performance is important.
