In search of the one year only idler arm for my 67 cuda with a v8 k member. Preferably used and cheaper, just looking to make the car a roller for now. Thanks

I know I have a tight one will check garages tomorrow
Might be from a 6 cyl though didn't know if they are different

Sounds good. Yeah I was wondering the same thing, was gonna ask around if the /6 one is the same. If not i'll need the v8 one

Ok another question, is that true for 67 only, or 67-72?
67 is one year only in design/how it attaches to K member. The 68 through 72 design are also the same for slant and LA. Hope this no and yes answer works for you.
Once upon a time the 67 only idler arm was hard to find and quite expensive. Aftermarket stepped up to the demand. Same applies to some brake drums. You'll find them affordable until inventory is depleted.

There is a heavy duty looking one for 200+, I installed the less expensive one and it has been fine. If you have an OEM unit there are NOS rebuild kits out there for about the same price as the cheaper one, maybe up to 100.00

Forgot to mention...

only odd thing about the one I bought from PST, the holes in the shaft where the cotter pins go for the castle nut seemed drilled too high on the shaft so I had to put a thick washer under the nut to raise it high enough for the cotter pin to engage into the castle nut.

Ok good to know, i'll probably end up going the PST route unless someone has an old one laying around because I literally won't be driving the car with the front end I have. Just want to get all the parts under it so I can move it around easier. (Restoration will have to come later on in life for this car) so it can honestly almost be a junk idler arm.

@73drtsport did you bring that tree hugger (profile photo) back to life?
@Dana67Dart haha tree hugger is a good name for it. No I didn't. Looking back now I kick myself hard every time I think about that car. Mainly because I pulled all the parts I thought necessary then I scrapped it. This was about 5 years ago and I wasn't very into mopars at the time so I did NOT realize how many hundreds of perfect parts I left on the thing. It's sad really, the k member, all the front disk setup and suspension, wiring harness, and much much more all went bye bye. I don't even like thinking about it but I was 22 and stupid. (Only 27 now lol), but much more educated.

This is the car the idler arm is for. The old guy that had it had started a restoration and died. He tore all the front end off and im trying to piece it back together! Might be selling our house so need to make the thing moveable
