To answer your question. Left tailpipe is the same between early and late applications. 1967 and earlier with the transverse fuel tank strap requires a different
tailpipe to clear the J-volt on the right hand side. The right tailpipe is approximately 3-1/2” lower in this location over the later tailpipes. A modified J-bolt could give the clearance for later tailpipes.
