Honestly, at idle you don’t make much heat, so pump speed is at least as critical as fan speed.

True, but I don't want to blow anything up on the rare occasions when I wind it up to 7000 (crank) rpm, either. It doesn't idle all that efficiently with a [email protected] cam...
