Helping a member bolster his argument on the date the 273 was made available to the Valiant/Dart platform. We know it was a 64 offering, but was it a 'mid year' introduction, Jan 8, ie. April 64's "Barracuda" ? Seems cars were built Aug 1 of the previous year to start the next years model run so April was almost a 4th quarter intro with only 3 months of post April production until the 65 model started down the line. I have a 273 cast:

no idea when it was sold or offered but It was cast 11/20/63. Check you stuff and post them dates (no June or July dates expected)
The 1964 FSM for the Plymouth/Valiant line did not include the 273, only the 6 Cyl motors in the Valiant line (unless the absence of the "6 Cyl" for the Signet means a V8?)
