It's all different stuff from an A body

TMM is correct, Brewers Performance have a nice modified HURST shifter mechanism that accepts an Inland shifter. I bought one recently for my 67 Barracuda Formula S console shift 4 speed. Can't wait to swap it out.

Will do Mike, I also need to swap out the clutch assembly which I also got from Brewer's Performance.

Trouble is we are in lockdown here in Melbourne Australia, so if I pull the box and flywheel I can't get the flywheel machined because most, if not all, auto shops are closed. We have another 10 days of these restriction before they ease up a bit.

Those are nice. I have one in my 66. Perfect fit right out of the box. I even took it to the local Clutchmasters to have it checked and he said it was perfect.

LOL! yes, a nice combination and look with the Inland handle and the Hurst mechanism. HOWEVER, do not do any serious drag racing with an Inland shifter handle! i had a "new" 68 fastback Formula S 340 4 speed in 1969 that had the "factory" Inland shifter. i street raced the car a lot and one night in a very heated drag race, i power-shifted second gear and broke the Inland shifter off right at the 3 bolt mounting plate. you CAN'T break a Hurst Competition Plus and that was the primary reason everyone "back then" replaced the OEM Inlands with the Hurst shifters. but i'm guessing you're not going to drive your Barracuda now like i drove mine 51 years ago when i was a 16 year old high school student.

Jim, that's a good point you make. While I'd like to think that I'll be street racing every Mustang or Camaro that comes my way, the reality is I'll be be going a bit easier than when I was a kid. I know the HURST Competition Plus shifter is bulletproof, but since my car's a 67 I'd like stay with the Inland shifter.
