Looking for the thickness of truck divider. I think it’s made of wood. It has a one way latch in the middle. I would like to make it. I have the pattern. Thank you for your help.

Just going by my memory of how it looks, id say between 3/8" - 1/2".

There is trim on the three sides that aren't hinged.

do you have the metal trim that goes around the "TRUNK" divider? The wood should just fit nicely inside that trim. Just take a piece of that trim to Lowes and purchase whatever fits best.

I can't really tell all that well, but it's either 7/16", or 1/2".

The trim is a little 90* piece of steel, countersunk for the screws. You could probably get something like that at home depot or on amazon. It's about 1/2" on a side. I suspect that I'm going to replace my plywood separator with something hopefully lighter.

the L angled trim is 3/4" and 3/8" and 14" long. I didn't get any measurement for the top piece of trim. It is made up of two pieces, right and left side.

3/4''---------------------

I used a piece of 1/2" oak plywood ( pine would be closer to original but splinters easy ) from Lowe's. I wanted mine to last longer than the original and insulate better.
What I did next was my own preference, I sprayed it gloss enamel black, with a couple of coats of gloss polyurethane. I picked up the cleated threaded anchors with screws at Ace hardware to attach it like orignal to the piano hinge. Insulation and carpet on the inside.
I like my music volume to be able to keep up with the exhaust, so resisting the urge to cut and mount speakers in my new tailgate, instead I bought two carpeted 6x9 speaker boxes and set them in the back with enough cord to move them to the trunk, or roof if needed. Man those boxes in front of that oak backstop and surrounded by the back glass sound like a '78 rock concert!
Anyways, 1/2" is what you want, you will have a hard time getting anything thicker in the hinge on the bottom and to latch at the top.

Been a long time ago , after second thot , it might have been 1/2''. I had to fill 2 huge speaker holes in mine , I then covered the trunk side w/ 1/16 alum. sheet , and recarpeted the interior side.

finally carpeted over the rear strut holes too.

My car appears to be completely original and the plywood is definitely 1/2". I didn't see your post about taking pictures of my set up and didn't take any.
