Dad was in Japan and the Philippines for his first hitch. He crossed the equator a couple times. He came back home after his 4 years and decided to go back for another 2. His choice of where to be stationed so he chose Honolulu. By the stories he told, he had fun there. I regret not taking him back for a visit.
