caltracs and ss springs?

I had SS springs and snubber on the Duster. Then we went to Calvert springs and bars. I didn't notice a difference except for the body lift with the SS springs was much greater. Traction was comparable. It was only a 10 sec. car.

We are now going to Calverts again on the new 7.50 car. We sold the other set to someone with a 4 spd. Demon. They work but he complains of the rattle of the bars on the street.

I have the full caltrac system , mine rattled on the drivers side , had a hair of clearance on it , w/ the pass. side preloaded about 1 turn-static position/no driver.
Yesterday I finally got around to taking the slack out of the drivers side , made the car drive better on the street , didnt rattle , and stopped the instant pull to the right when I first take off ,< that should have been a tip off, but I ant too bright sometimes !
Another surprising thing is front to rear weight using a mag. force tubular front end , 16 pounds can make a hell of a bunch of diff. in how the coil over front end handles . Might not go back to the orig. front end now , dont have room for the torsion bars anyway .
All u nay sayers on mag.force front ends wont agree, but I have had mine in use for about 10 yrs now , all the dislikes have been in adjustments , and I could have a couple more degrees of caster in it , but alinment people around here (on old cars) are few and far between.
I did build a pair of front struts for it , because of the only ''real''IMG_0234 (2).JPG failure I `ve ever heard about was from a broken lower control arm rear bolt , the strut rods just re inforce that situation a hair .
