Drag is drag, but as I said, the line has to be drawn someplace. And it is the crank flange. That's why standards exist...to put a stop to the BS and guessing. When you remove internal drag, it may well result in added crank HP. But as long as that 'power' is wasted inside the engine, it doesn't qualify as HP.
