The end of the steel ring that is turned 90 degrees is what cancels the turn signal switch. I dont see that in you pic either. I thought all models had this same design. That contact ring is formed in a bed of gray colored plastic to insulate it. That would break into pieces and cause a constant horn blow. I think aftermarket offers the contact ring but I dont know about replacement steel ring.
