Open Chamber Heads vs Closed Chamber Heads....

Hot rodders are the great innovators. They make things work that shouldn't. They make things fast that shouldn't have a chance. They win races that shouldn't ever be won. Winning with parts that you'd think wouldn't work. They've done it for decades. The bottom line here is use what works for YOU. It's like yeller rose is always sayin, It'll work if you tune it to work, and he's right. I've tuned a lot of otherwise junky builds to run like balls on fire. Big cammed low compression stuff. Done it with both open and closed chambers, close to and at zero deck and down in the hole. Stock cam builds. You name it. It's all in the tune and each one requires something different but can be made to haul the mail. Is one kinda this or that "better" than the other? I don't look at it that way. Maybe one kinda this or that is "easier" to make power with. Requires less tuning. So maybe that does make it better somehow.
