Also on the TBI 318 it probably has a long snout cam but no fuel pump eccentric so you'd need to pull the timing cover and then install one from your old engine.
Great point! The TBI motors are roller cam, I am told they are a short cam, but I have not seen this for myself.
An electric pump or perhaps cam eccentric is in his future for sure
