I am sure this has been discussed. But I want to find more current info about mini tubing a 1969 Dart.

Mancini mini tub kits with spring relocation. Is that a good kit. The say a weekend is that even remotely true. Car is very clean and should have solid metal there.

Any hiccups that people can warn me about?

John

The kit they sell is made by USCartool and ships directly from them.
The time it takes is based on two factors starting with how clean and rust free the car is and your skill level of metal work. The finished product look is a matter of how well you want it to look when the job is done and not counted in the time it takes to perform the job.

My kit is coming....

Sorry I answered then, carry on.....

I think when cutting the floor of the car, taking extra time to get the corners (of the tubs, or the stock piece that you previously cut off) templeted correctly pays dividends. Very exciting! good luck!

Cool I am excited! Just making sure there is not a better kit out there or it is not worth it. I need a little more tire room for sure.

John

Just don't cut the tubs out using the squared off approach that most suggest with the ugly patches. Cut the floor tight to the tub when you remove it and round trunk floor for tub corners to fit. No ugly patch!
