Intro to a port job

14 years ago when I rebuilt my 360, many of the machine shops I called wanted to do more work than I had in mind. Rods for one they wanted to resize. This motor was fine when taken apart all highway miles no internal problems. This 360 originally came out of a pampered 1975 chrysler cordoba. Only reason owner stopped driving this car was front end wore out! So machine shop also wanted to line bore block which also was not needed. Heads were junk so I found some nice 340 x heads. My dad has a straight edge tool to check heads from snap on they checked fine. Also machine shop wanted to suface again not needed.
