Anyone have an OEM fuel sender unit for 70-76 Duster/Dart/Valiant lying around?
My 73 Duster calls for the PN# 3621615.

If you find a good used one, I'd suggest sending it to Wolf & Sons for a rebuild. That way you know it will function for years to come with no hiccups.

It appears 70-71 tanks are different than the 71-76 tanks. My guess is fuel capacity.

I found that the US 1970 Duster had a 18 gallon tank and the Canadian Duster had a 15 gallon tank. That doesn't make any sense to me.

So your tank is a 18 then, the sender should be the same. Just not sure why 70/71 tanks are different than 71-76?

I think it’s because the number of vents for the charcoal canister and fuel return system. Kim. Dam, I better quit surfing and get that sender out.

You could be right, there's the small vent tube on the top of the tank above sender.

Pics. No vent on the tank. It has been sitting since about 1984 or so. Kim

Darn it, that's an aftermarket unit. The aftermarket sending units will never give a correct fuel level indication.

Looking for this OEM one which sends resistance in non-linear Kim.

Idk what to tell u as every A body I’ve had the tank/sender out of has had that same 1. I’ve never see the 1 u posted. Unless these 1s are a Canadian thing. I’ve had them out of every year from 1967 to 1975 darts, dusters and demons. I dont even know if they had aftermarket senders back then. Kim

What I have found since throwing mine out years ago along with the OEM tank. I purchased one like you have only to have it not read properly. In researching the manufactures of the type that you have, they all told me that it reads linear resistance. It's not a Canadian thing at all.
The Mopar fuel gauges read non-linear, that's why I'm looking for the one I pictured.
That one pictured is the one that's in my tank now. The problem it's not for a Duster 18 gallon tank. When full it only reads just about 3/4 and empty at an 1/8th. When it reads just below a half, I can only add about 5-6 gallons of fuel.
I hope this clears it up, Jack

Jack, Idk what to say as I’ve never seen the 1 u have. This car has the rallye dash if it mattered. I have 2 other cars I can check in a couple of weeks. Kim

The OEM are out there but they're for B & E bodies. I will be very grateful if you will check your inventory that for me.
Thanks very much, Jack
