1970 duster 340 auto. a previous owner blew a trans. cooler line and put a rubber line from the broken section into the cooler (at the bottom of the radiator) in the process they took the fitting out and replaced it with a hose barb. i know i could take the other side out and look for one but does anybody know what size it would be?

That is not it above.

It is a brass flare fitting, pipe thread on one end and flare on the other.

Home Depot and Lowes (other hardware stores too) have them in their brass fittings section in their plumbing departments.

Not sure of the size without checking.

I was looking for one recently to replace a bunged up one. Lowe’s, Home Depot Ace Hardware and Menards by me didn’t have them. Youngster at Oreilly didn’t know what it was. Suspect they had some if you could find a guy there who knew. Got tired of looking and put the old one back in.

The only ones I could find were one size too small on the flare end when they had the correct 1/8 pipe thread on the radiator side.

I would like to know as well.
