Value will be different to different people in different places. Here in SE Arizona scrap price on car is $250, the self serve junk yards are paying $500. In Los Angeles, they will give you $1500 for a car driven in to the self serve junk yards via their smog clunker program. So if it were here, in the same condition as your pics I'd pat between $500-700. In L.A. I'd likely pay $1200-1500. People say the engine is worth big bucks if good, but thats a BIG IF. If you search the parts wanted section you'll see an ad from someone who purchased an aluminum block for $200 very recently, hardly big bucks. They told me they had their choice of several at that price. Though I've seen someone else asking $2000 for one. Owner wanting maximum dollar is understandable but not realistic since you are taking all the risk. I evaluate the price of a field car on a "I can't lose money" scale. In the worst case can I sell a few parts and scrap the rest to recover what I spent (not make a profit even). You could do what I've seen others do since it's not going anywhere soon and that is to advertise it online/magazine/wherever as yours using the pics you've already taken at the price of your choice to test the interest level in the marketplace. Lots of interest price goes up, no interest price goes down. Lately I've been walking away from most field cars I find because the owners belief that it's worth more than scrap has come to mean it's worth 10-20 times more than scrap or half of what they saw a restored one sell for at Barret Jackson. I'll attach a pic of my latest rescue. It was on Offerup.com for a year at $3500 with original wheels and new 13" tires and I got one call and they offered me half my asking price, and I drive it every day. It is well worn, has a bit of rust like they all do, but everything works and it cruises down the highway at 80 all day long. That's got to say something about the market value for these early "A"s. In the end there is no right or wrong price if you're content paying it.
