What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Took it out again to lower the mounting holes a little (and trim the plastic while on the bench). Reassembled everything and remounted the catch can. Filled the coolant and put my pressure tester on it, sat at 5 psi for a while and no drips.
Fired up, took it for a spin... temperature exactly the same :BangHead:

At least I now have a brand new, lighter radiator. But it won't run below 194 at any speed, and obviously airflow isn't a problem at 30 mph and over... So the only thing left is inadequate coolant flow. I have the 0.95:1 fan:crank pulley setup for non a/c cars, but don't remember which water pump. The problem is that the pump I put in there years ago is a generic parts store rebuilt and I don't remember if it has six or eight vanes. (The a/c pump is run at 1.3 times crank speed so it only has six vanes because it's turned much faster).

Anyhow I decided to order a new Flowkooler high-flow pump. If that doesn't do it, I will just live with the slightly higher than expected temps!
