In addition, my fuel gauge doesn’t work (new sender, and resistance at different levels is fine.. so must must be the gauge itself), nor does my odometer, so I never have a real accurate idea of how much fuel I have! And at night, the original gauges are too dim to read. But my smile outshines any of these little quirks.
I also have a $150 22” Ebay radiator paired with a 180 degree thermostat. We’ve had some nasty 95 degree days in Minnesota this summer and the only time it got above 180 is when I’m idling or crawling through traffic. As soon as I start moving at normal speeds she drops Back down. On normal temp days... never gets over 180-190 even when idling. I run a $40 fixed 6 blade 17” Derale fan and no shroud.
And... this car MOVES when I get on it!
I will admit, it takes repeatedly reminding myself NOT to get sucked in... because man.. I love wrenching on my car, and taking it back apart just feels right ;) But... driving it is priority #1. Everything I contemplate gets weighed against that.
