Hurst Competition Plus adjustment

What is the proper way to set the stop bolts on the Competition plus shifter? I have done some research but have read multiple different ways they should be set. Snug and back off a 1/4 turn, snug and back out a full turn, 1st/2nd set on way and then 3rd/4th another(which really doest make sense when there are only two bolts). Please help!?!?!
