HELP

You’ve got a 1973 Plymouth Duster with a slant 6 engine (that’s the engine it was born with from the factory but might not be in it now) that came off the Hamtramck, Michigan assembly line.

Dodge Demon’s didn’t exist in 1973 and a Plymouth Demon never existed. As for what transmission is was born with, the fender tag would tell you. It’s located in the engine bay on the top of the driver fender near the battery. It may or may not still be there as it’s easy to remove (two screws).

Hopefully you didn’t pay a premium for a “ultra rare Plymouth Demon”. I suspect if the seller was pitching it as a Demon, it probably has a 318 instead of a 340.
