Good luck to all those who got nailed by the hurricane. Hope you get your power back soon. I can't imagine 20 inches of rain. If that happened in the north on a cold winters day we would end up with 20 feet of snow!

Just something to keep your eye on: there is a new storm developing in the Gulf, south of Texas. I watch the storms and the direction they are headed on NHC NOAA.com. or Mike's Weather Page. Lots of info there. Looks like Bermuda may get hit again in a few days. And there are more storms out in the Atlantic. Plus another one coming off the coast of Africa. I'm hoping next year will be calmer, but with the air temperature and the ocean waters getting warmer and warmer, we may be entering an era when this is the new normal.

Greek alphabet names coming up soon.

we got 5" of rain 21 years ago here and my living room was under a foot of water. All the 5 apts in my building drained to my back yard and it flooded my unit. Father in law came over, dug a 5 foot long ditch from my backyard to a lower point next to my place and it drained in 10 minutes...brilliant! I cant imagine what 20" would do to anyone's property that wasn't set up for it, ie. 60" stilts! Stay safe!

Went right over us. Man did we get an ASSPILE of rain. It's gone now though.

We are getting the tail end of it now, no rain, but the temps cooled way down, it has dropped 20 degrees from where it was last week.
