What do you not like about dentures? I Had one wisdom tooth pulled and it was hell. Now the worthless tooth above it has a cavity and I am apprehensive of having it pulled.
There is just always problems when doing dentures. Its hard for people to adjust to not having their "natural" teeth anymore, they have to be adjusted quite often because without your natural teeth the bone is constantly remodeling. Dentures don't stay put all the time and they are uncomfortable, etc etc.
Lower wisdom teeth are rough, they are usually all the way in the bone and are harder to pull. If you can save the upper tooth and put a filling or crown on it do that. Your natural teeth are the best teeth.
