That's very true. However, being a modified HIGH STALL, it would not be uncommon to find the builder using the pump from either a GM or FORD converter to get the stall they were looking for. Doing the exchange of pump covers is a quicker than re-bending the vanes inside the pump. It's a cheap and dirty way of increasing stall.
