Hi there,
I am wonder if anyone is running with a 245 60 14 on the front? I bought new tires but dont like the set up. I went wi 245 60 14 on the back and 215 60 14 on the front. I was thinking of putting the back on the front and buying new ones for the back. Say 265 60 14. Any pics would be helpful.

What width rims do you have for the 245 tires? Do you plan on running the same rims for the 265?

I’m running 235/60/14 on my Scamp all round. The 235’s on the front are less than 1/4 from rubbing on the front subframe rail when I have the tires turned all the way.

I believe they are 7inch rims. Sounds like the 245 will rub. But yes I was thinking of swapping front to back and giving that a try. Just wondering if anyone was running with 245 up front already. I wonder if 265 on a 7 inch will fit? Might look bloated.

Who makes a 265/60x14? I cant find any. Found 265/50x14, but i wouldnt put that on a seven inch rim. Biggest normal 14" tire i can find most places is the 245 you already have. If you go to a fifteen, you can find anything.

Oh good question! Perhaps that is why I went with the 245. I may have to find some 15 inch rims for the back. I wonder if 15 in the back and 14 up front will look odd?

235/60-14's are as big as you can safely get on the front. It's the height of the tires that will get you, not so much the width. They will hit the front bottom edge of the fender lip before they hit the frame. I had a 74 Duster with 255/60-14's on the back, and 225/60-14's on the front. Stock 14" Rallye wheels are 5 1/2 inches wide, so the 255's were really pushing it.

There was a thread on the 14/15 deal on b-bodies. I bet 95% would never notice. Wheel size difference is almost invisible if the tire heights are similar.

225 is the biggest you should put on a 7 inch rim. But i have put a 235 on a 7 inch rim before it worked but they dont recommend it
