Valve train noise

"I will try another quarter turn. Im kinda baffled why its more quiet at start up verses when hot."

The one difference is that when the engine is cold there's little or no noise, when the engine is hot all your clearances change and the oil is "thinner". Maybe you need to adjust the rockers when it's hot??? They're either too tight or too loose, adjust one way and take a ride then adjust the other way and take a ride (when the engine is hot)....see if there's any difference. If none of this helps then you'll have to look at the lifters or ???.
