Oil pressure switch

Has anyone ever used a "sandwich plate" that threads into the oil pump between the pump and filter and has multiple threaded holes? I'm having a similar no budge issue on my sending switch... I already made up my T and all but thought the sandwich plate could be a cleaner option.

I think the plate would be a bigger pain than taking the sending unit out.
I cleaned most of the grease from around my sending unit, I will clean some more tonight.
And heat around the sender and see if it will come out.

I did modify a small block plate spacer for the thermostat to hook a mechanical temperature gauge, not quite finished with it yet.
