904 first rebuild

I'm getting ready to try and rebuild my first trans ever. I have a 904 out of 1973 Dart Swinger with 318. So I checked my output shaft endplay and im way out of spec according to the mopar service manual. So i was told the 73 thrust washer kit was discontinued. Anyone know or hear this? Thanks for any help.
