Percolation? Heat soak? Don't drive during summer??

I plan on getting one of those cheaper ones for my break in so I cam monitor everything from outside. Maybe try putting it in the factory spot see if it makes a difference?

Its in the air gap intake... right next to my only old hose besides the one that goes to the heater core and the ac hoses...
