I just went and looked at the cities obsolete equipment coming up for a sealed bid auction (in the rain). 1990 D 250 is what caught my eye. Has an herbicide tank on it. They are keeping that. Kind of beat up but real solid. Has the throttle body 5.2 so that kind of bummed me out. 3-speed 727 though. Not sure if those are electronic controlled or not. Really could be a nice truck but needs paint. 92000 miles. I think I'll throw $200 at it and see if it sticks. If you think about it being an herbicide truck, it was probable never driven in the winter. I didnt see any rust on it. Oh... has AC too.
